THE LANGESUNDSFJORD |
|
The
langesundsfjord is mineralogically the most spectactular area in Norway,
with about 170 different minerals described from the area.
Many of the here found minerals are relatively rare on our planet, and occur preferably in special types of mineral-occurrences. Because of the exotic and unusual nature of the mineral associations found in these occurrences a special kind of mineral-collecter evolved with a common interest. On the Internet some of these collectors took the initiative to form a kind of forum/circle of websites dedicated to these occurrences and their minerals. The NAGS -the association of norwegian mineral collectors supports this initiative by means of a small picture-show with pictures made by Frode Andersen, wellknown in Norway as photographer and collector of Langesundsfjord minerals. Below on this page you will find links to other websites dedicated to this type of mineral occurrences around the world.
